These 10 new teaching spaces are arranged to empower the school in the adoption of an ILE pedagogy. The ground level’s extendable learning areas are linked with the first level’s open plan studio by a double height atrium. This “gallery space” provides students with a space to display their work. Other circulation is treated externally to create a more effective learning environment with feature stairs reaching down into the northern courtyard for direct student access. This courtyard acts as a performance space & social hub for students while also providing a link to the existing school landscape and public realm.
